About: Alex Hames

Alexandria Hames is a non-partisan candidate for Ward 2 City Councillor and a third-generation Londoner who grew up in the East End, attending Lord Nelson, Clark Road and Fanshawe College.

For more than six years, Alexandria has volunteered with the City’s Animal Welfare, Environmental Stewardship advisory committees. She has adopted two parks, hosted more than four movie nights at Kiwanis Park, and helped create London East Leos to give local youth opportunities to give back.

With a background in developmental social work and regional mental health, Alexandria has seen firsthand the importance of healthcare, accessibility and community supports.

She hopes to help advance affordable housing solutions, safer neighbourhoods, better transit and accessibility, Mental Health Officers, and sustainable solutions that protect London for future generations.

Above all, Alexandria wants to listen, work together and make sure East End residents feel heard, supported and proud of their community.
